Description

This 45 degree stainless steel elbow is manufactured in accordance with ASME B16.9 and ASTM A403 standards, adopting dual-grade 304/316L stainless steel materials. The pipe fittings are processed through solution annealing and pickling passivation to eliminate carbide precipitation in the weld heat-affected zone, ensuring excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion in high-temperature or weak acid media. The angular tolerance of the elbow is controlled within ±0.5°, and the center-to-end dimensions comply with long radius (1.5D) and short radius (1.0D) specifications.

Connection Methods & Pressure Rating

Available connection types include Butt Weld (BW), Socket Weld (SW) and Threaded (NPT/BSPT). Based on different wall thickness schedules (Sch10, Sch40, Sch80), the pressure rating can reach 10.3 MPa (1500 psi) at ambient temperature. It is widely applicable for pipelines conveying steam, hydraulic oil, seawater desalination and chemical media.

All elbows undergo solution annealing and water quenching treatment to avoid intergranular sensitization. For steam service over 400°C, long-radius (1.5D) models such as 45 degree elbow 22mm and 45 degree elbow 40mm are recommended to relieve thermal expansion stress at welding joints.
