Stainless Steel 90 Degree Elbow: Specifications, Sizes & Industrial Application Guide

Stainless Steel 90 Degree Elbow is a core pipe fitting for changing flow direction in industrial piping systems. The products strictly comply with the ASME B16.9 manufacturing standard and conform to the ASTM A403 material specification, and are widely used in all areas of pipeline engineering including chemical industry, water treatment, oil & gas transportation, and HVAC.

✅The mainstream products are made of 304 and 316L austenitic stainless steel. The raw materials are inspected by spectral analysis, with deviations of core elements such as chromium, nickel, and molybdenum controlled within 0.2%, ensuring outstanding corrosion resistance.

✅In working conditions with high chloride ion concentration, the critical pitting temperature of 316L material can reach 32°C, far superior to ordinary 304 material. It is suitable for high-temperature and corrosive medium transportation scenarios, with a conventional operating temperature range of -40°C to 450°C, and pressure rating classes including Sch.10S, Sch.40, Sch.80, etc.

▶️We have a comprehensive dimension system covering many commonly used sizes of pipe fittings.

✔️Small-bore fittings such as 1/4″, 3/8″, 3/4″ 90 degree elbow stainless are mostly used in instrument pipelines, precision fluid delivery, and built-in lines of small equipment, featuring compact structure and easy installation.

✔️Medium-bore 3.5″ stainless steel 90 degree elbow is a common choice for main branch lines in plant areas and HVAC systems.

✔️Large-bore 10″ stainless steel 90 degree elbow serves large-flow pipelines in large-scale refining, municipal water transmission, etc. All are of long radius design with a curvature radius of 1.5 times the nominal diameter, effectively reducing fluid turbulence and pressure loss.

✅All products are manufactured by hot forming and precision butt welding processes, with the ends uniformly machined to a 37.5° bevel to ensure welding tightness.

✅The finished product angle error is controlled within ±0.5°, and local wall thickness thinning does not exceed 12.5%. The inner and outer surfaces are passivated and polished, with a roughness of Ra≤6.3μm, and are free from cracks, wrinkles, and other defects.

📌From micro precision pipelines to large industrial piping systems, stainless steel 90 degree elbows of different sizes ensure long-term stable operation of pipelines and meet the stringent requirements of global industrial projects.
